Teodora Boeva was raised in Bulgaria where she began to train rhythmic gymnastics at the early age of six years old at Club Zecika. At age 12 she was elected to be a member of the National Team. In 1985 she competed in the Austrian World Cup she was awarded 2nd place. She receive a Bachelors degree in Physical Education from the Institute of Physical Culture in Sofia, Bulgaria. She then began coaching in 1986 with the Bulgarian National Team as a Choreographer for the Artistic Gymnastics Team. Where her athletes competed in international competitions. Furthermore, in 1998 she was invited to train the Indianapolis, Indiana artistic team where she trained Olympian gymnasts Bridgette Sloane and Samantha Pezek, working side by side with many other talented Olympic coaches; Peter Zhao and Tammy Biggs. During this time she was sought out as a gifted choreographer for the Balance Beam and Floor Exercise by many athletes. In 2006 she was invited to California as a personal trainer for rhythmic gymnast Aria Rolely, whom competed in several international competitions. She then continued as an artistic “J.O.” gymnastics coach in Pasadena at Club Champion and All Olympia in Los Angeles where many of her athletes were awarded State and Regional Champions. Currently, it is her pleasure to work at Matrix Gymnastics where she aspires to produce more Champions! She is also still coaching rhythmic gymnastics. Teodora is a USAG professional member and Safety Certified.
